What I find the funniest about this thread. Is that there are very few 'Americans' in here discussing this. Mostly Europeans from smaller countries that rely on 'Daddy' to take care of their needs.

That's what I find funny about this thread.

Maybe most Americans are too ashamed to comment, unlike you?

I know I would be if it was my country doing this. At most I'd post an apology.

Your country will never be in a position like this for obvious reasons. You fall under the protective umbrella. It's easy to take pot shots at the guy on top while you collectively sit back and enjoy the collateral benefits of being 'Allies' with us.

Last time I checked Portugal (For example) came with us to Iraq and probably captured some detainees and PoWs along the way. Where's the outrage from Portugals politicians? Ah yes, there is none.

You don't bite the hand that feeds. Smaller countries know this.

Well please link to that information, I'm not really getting the point.

Regarding protective umbrellas, how did that work out for London and Madrid?

The point is,  Portugal agreed enough with the reasons to enter Iraq.  Probably some of their military captured Iraqi PoW's and turned them over to the US.  I don't have links to that.  It's just an opinion.   Portugal did come to Iraq with us though.
