blu-ray adoption will NEVER be equal to DVD.

both will survive but dvd won't be going away for the next decade.

blu-ray is still a niche product. 10% of the market

DVD for a decade?   Not a chance in hell.  Sure people will still own DVDs (Just like they own records and VHS tapes).   They certainly won't be selling in stores 10 years from now.

Not too sure about that. Developing countries will still be using it

Well usually when entering these discussions we aren't talking about extremely poverty stricken nations where piracy accounts for a significant percentage of the movie watching.   In places where the sales matter?   (NA, Europe, Japan)  DVD will have gone the way of the VHS.

Exactly, to think that DVDs will still be sold on a regular basis 10 years from now is absurd.  Expect in the next year or so that studios will start to do Blu-ray only releases like they did with DVD when it was in its 3rd year.  Which it was also only about 15% of the market, like Blu-ray is now.
