| ironman said: Silly foreigner, your argument is moot. I don't care where the game sold the best and neither should you because it doesn't matter, world wide sales are a only real number worth looking at, and the Halo franchise this gen wins. Period. I'm American, friend. Why is my argument 'moot'. Gran Turismo is the better selling, longer lasting, higher average per year on the market selling franchise when compared to Halo. There hasn't been a Gran Turismo full release this generation yet. That's the whole point. You can't declare a winner until there is actually a 'match'.
The OP was asking what 'series' is more popular. That is without a doubt, Gran Turismo. No ifs ands or buts.
We are, after all, still talking about Halo 3 vs. GT5 right?
No and we never have been. We've been talking about the series. Look at the thread title.
I don't care what the sales numbers were for past gen consels as user base was highly skewed in favor of the PS2, also the fact that it has no relevancy to this thread. Oh and your egotistical "American's are trash and think only of themselves" attitude is so tipicall of the "holier than thou" thought process found in those across the pond. Get over it, America = pwn...although that is set to change (unfortunately) Learn how to spell, use paragraphs and in general use your brain. You're giving us Americans a bad name. I'm being serious. User base has absolutely no relevance to popularity. If it's a more popular series it's going to have more people purchase it because it's more popular. Halo 1 had excellent sales, despite being on a lowbie console.
