nen-suer said: Ok guys i see u don't understand the deffrence between movies and
games data
let us assume we have a 16 Gb game, we cant divide it into two 8Gb dvds
becaouse character models and shared mabs and soundrack..(any shared data)
must be doublecated again to other DVD so we end up with 3 or 4 DVD
And in order to convert 25 GB blue-ray game you may need up to 5-7 HD-DVDs
So if a game has alot of Movies its easier because they are not needed in the
other DVds.... ................................................................
Hope i made u guys understand |
Yes this post is very sound.
Very good point.
Lost Odyssey is 23.4gb. However on a single disc this may only be 15gb?
I'm betting on a Blu Ray disc if none of the information is duplicated it will be 20-25gb max!
However I'm betting on the PS3 bluray disc data being duplicated as other companies do to improve load times and streaming. So I think 30gb for Ps3 FF13?
I therefore in light of smart thinking and info from a number of level headed users here at VGchartz I'm expecting about 30gb BluRay. With compression and duplicate info for 360 on multi discs, I'm expecting 5 discs. 33gb 360. I dont think there will be alot of compression at all for the 360 version. With 5 discs they will find through compression maybe an extra 5-6gb to fit on 5 discs?
30gb I expect it to be on Bluray. Do people really expect it to be 50gb? Think about this. FF9 is probably about 1.8gb altogether taking out duplication of data for each disc. FFX was only 4gb. Lost Odyssey at a guess without multidiscs would probably be around 15 gb. To say on a single disc that FF13 will be 50gb????????
From the demo I see nowhere near the graphical quality needed to fill 50gb. It's good but not lifelike good. At the level of graphics in the demo (leaving room for improving before release ) I would expect over 100hours of story game for 50gb.
We need to step back and be real here people.

Didn't I say the same thing in better english a few posts up?
|
Yes you did. Whats wrong my english? ;)
|
Not yours, but nen-suer.
And it could very well end up over 50gb, but don't expect it to. MGS 4 apparently up in the 40-50 range. I think FF13 is aroud that range.

MGS4 apparantly doubled and trippled alot of data though didnt it? I'm sure I read that all over these forums. Without any duplication there is no way FF13 is more than 25gb. I'm sure of it. You know, it's native state. Duplication I can see 30gb, maybe they will duplicate the hell out of the info. But the native information wont be that hard to put on 5 discs for the 360. Cant see it. Maybe you see something different in the demo, but if that is 50gb game without duplicating the info then it better be 100 hours. :)
