Their supposed "evidence" is because it was an M rated title and supposedly a "hardcore" title. Apparently those sell the best on PS360. Except this would not be the case for a game like Madworld. It's really not difficult to test. Tell me the best selling stylized and/or ultra gory game on the PS3 or 360. Something around Madworld's level. Not to mention being a new IP and is not a part of a mainstream genre such as a shooter or sports game or racer. Please find me games on the PS360 that has done this.
Better yet, look on any console before the Wii and PS360 and find me where these titles have ever done well. Did Killer 7 sell well? No and not even on the PS2. Did God Hand sell well... of course not.
There is no basis whatsoever or proof that would even begin to suggest that Madworld (a super gory and controversial bloodbath that is stylized black and white, with outside of Ninja Gaiden is a fairly unpopular genre as of late) would do well on PS3 or 360 or any console for that matter. Sure there have been gory games to sell well before but look at those kinds of games and compare them to Madworld and you'll see vast differences.
So why would you say PS360 where there is no evidence whatsoever that a niche, stylized, new IP bloodbath would do well. Where is this evidence or assumptions we keep getting that it would do well on any console. People are only saying this to further bring down the Wii or Madworld for whatever their own agendas are. I'm not saying it wouldn't sell better on PS360, but there is no evidence to even back up a what if. No trends, no previous game sales comparisons... no nothing.
It's easy to say things guys with no backing just for the sake of defying logic and truth, but it takes a real justified person to actually give a damn about what they say. Try it every now and then.
