It's great that consoles are online and all, but at the same time it seems an awfully easy way to rush things out the door as you can always just patch the game when bugs arise, or to implement features that were cut due to publishing schedules.
PC gamers have had to endure patches all their lives, and one of the reasons I love console gaming is because you didn't have to put up with patches in the past - you bought the game knowing it would simply work as intended.
Those were the good ol' days. Oh well, such is the price of progress I guess...
