Uh...the PSP is a perfect console for hardcore or casual gamers in general. It might not have games like Brain Age or minigames like the Nintendo DS but it's in its own market. It's more targeted to the teenage crowd or adult crowd. I own one, and at the moment I don't own any games for the platform. But I will generate a good library soon, also I own about 3 or 4 UMD movies. I love those and watch them on the go!
Saying that the PSP is directed to the hardcore is crazy. I am sort of a casual gamer and been labeled as a casual gamer by several games alike and I'm liking the PSP platform more than the Nintendo DS.
