I'm not really into either game but I think there's more quality and polish about Infamous.
Prototype seems to me (by the looks of it and how it handles on screen) to be on the "Bourne Conspiracy-Alone in the Dark-Web of Shadows level of quality"...that is, from not impressive to repetitive, to huge-crap potential.
Edit : I do hope both games, or at least of one them is very good though. In that case I would rent it/them. My mind is already set on Bionic Commando, that's what I'm getting for sure. But good action games never hurt.
