The people who should be the most scared about this, is foreign car companies. The US has been making very competitive cars over the last several years, but contracts with unions have been keeping the costs high.
GM is not going away, it will just now be restructured by the government. Something that should have happened in the first place.
Now, the same cars will be made, but the prices will drop considerably.
