Yes, this article quotes psextreme.com which quotes 1up as well as 1up itself. They also bring up the original patent and edit it to suit the Dual Shock 3. The evidence thus far is that Sony themselves have said it's the same, while a few guys have said it feels better.
I think it'd be great if it turns out to be TouchSense, but until Sony says it, or someone takes it apart I'm going to believe otherwise.
