Microsoft has established a foundation with unified Gamertags and Achievements. People will probably want to take that with them to the next console. Why throw Achievement points away when you can add to them?
Competition gaming uses 360s also. Look at the 'WCG Ultimate Gamer' on Sci-Fi channel. Xbox is a recognized brand.
