Note that Football is an abreviation of what Soccer/Football is called.
Assosiation League Football.
Soccer is an abreviation of this as well. Both are correct.
It's like how people call America both "The United States" and "America."
Football is amusingly the "America" in this situation since Rugby is short for
"Rubgy Football"
So... There is less wrong with calling it soccer then there is calling it football. In the same way people complain that people who call the USA America aren't counting for other countries in America.
If you continue to call it football you shouldn't complain when people call the United States "America."

Please, let's not have that old discussion. Let's stay on topic.
Another USA World Cup. Should they be allowed to host it or not? :/

Who was reffering to the US calling that sport football? I was simply reffering to the somewhat incorrect usage of the term football that is mostly standard around the world.
Also... that is on topic. Suggesting that the US should have to change what it calls the game to a slightly incorrect abbreviation is silly when the US abbreviation is more accurate and appropriate.
