The point is that you can't separate "is" from "was." GT has more worldwide name recognition and popularity than Halo because of it's past success. If GT5 flops (lol), then maybe one could say the time of GT has passed. But I have yet to see a convincing argument showing that Halo has more widespread worldwide popularity.
