Its not like we've done that a few times before... in africa... with it backfiring horribly creating pretty much situations exactly like what somalia is now... right?

 

Exactly, you cannot back any of those warlords it simply wont work, people tried that before in many countries it only causes more terror followed by Civil War and more bloodshed
