i agree with games not being a form of worship, but its a game based on their religion and one of their gods. im not saying they will worship the game, but they will support it!

look at what hindus have done to support their culture in the past.

they have stopped the mass slaughter of bse infected cows, they have saved other similar animals too, and they are known to pay money for anything related to their religion.

obviously not every game will be religious, but dont expect this to be the last game of its kind. there are ongoing hindu god series, cartoons and dramas. it is just like anime in japan. if there is a space in the market, it will be wise for sony to expose it.

Something else which needs to be considered is commercial success. Will there be enough sales to gain a profit and encourage more games? Since India is new to the gaming industry, devs may quickly be put off by a loss and may decide not to continue to support the industry. Once the confidence is there then investment will follow and the industry will bloom. But only time will tell...
