Because Halo 3 would sell better if it was mutiplatform, same goes for Killzone 2 and metal gear solid 4.

Oh really? So tell me, if it were multiplatform, who would publish it? It sure wouldn't be Microsoft, who threw down the biggest advertising campaign ever on that title. So less advertising=selling more.
