Rather than this being the first game I get for the 360 it's one I'll be picking up from the bargain bin a long way down the road instead. I can always go to a friends house to play his version to scratch that itch, but unless Xbox Live gamers have drastically changed in maturity from the days of Halo 2, I think this is a pass for me. |
I think everyone has had a bad experience with Xbox live with Halo at one point or another, but I would never let that prevent me from playing. I would say maybe 1 out of every 7-10 games you get a jerk that likes to run his mouth. Usually for me that's about twice a week as I don't play it that much. With Halo 3 you can mute specific players. You can do this during the match setup, seeing as usually those jerks are running their mouths then as well. I find the overwhelming majority of people to be tolerable if not downright friendly.
I started playing the campaign last night on normal. It seemed fairly easy, especially with all of the checkpoints, but my guess is that it would take significantly longer than 10 hours on the harder levels.
