Who actually believes that GT series IS more popular than Halo series.

Racing games are more popular than FPS? Really? I suppose that's very true on the Wii, but you might want to check the sales of the top racing games and then the top FPS games on the 360 and PS3 so you can get a better picture.

360:

Total sales of racing games: 21.82 million
Total sales of FPS games: 43.09 million

Now you are probably saying, "Oh it's only 2-1. That's not a big deal". No folks. I said first person shooter. I did not include a single third person shooter in there, like Gears of War, Ghost Recon or Lost Planet.

Now for PS3:

Total sales of racing games: 16.18 million
Total sales of FPS games: 21.95 million

So even on the PS3, which should be predisposed to liking racing games more, FPS still wins out.

So then someone says "But Onyx, that's because of America. Things are different in Europe".

Total racing sales: 8.37 million
Total FPS sales: 10.67 million

360:

Total racing sales: 8.71 million
Total FPS sales: 14.76 million
