People like these big-budget, immersive, epic games. People like online play, especially as the exclusive source of replay value.
For these reasons, as well as others, an honest dislike for the Wii springs up. It doesn't cater to them, so why be nice about it? But then, this useless thing becomes very popular, much more so than the very useful 360 and PS3, so ridicule is necessary to insure that Wii stays out of the equation
Often i see hate directed simply as "why does this site still report on Wii? It's not for us, just stop talking about it." Which hardly qualifies as hate. Just an effort to ignore the console. But the console is impossible to ignore, which breeds hate because this thing you don't care about is being constantly raised up.
