scottie- You make a good point there. Perhaps Sony see iPhone as a threat to PSP?

Also, the PR emphasis from Sony at the moment (particularly this guy) seems to be to emphasise their first party strength. It's a decent idea, especially when neither Microsoft or Nintendo have many confirmed big first party games on the way, particularly for the second half of the year. They could do without throwing shit around though, it's more than likely to hit the fan at some point and come back to haunt them.

I expect E3 (with it being a much bigger show this year) may be the point when Sony's talk of first party strength loses some effectiveness, depending on announcements from Microsoft and particularly Nintendo. It's Nintendo who have the biggest first party system sellers, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Does anyone have a list or analysis of Sony/Nintendo first party titles on Wii/PS3 and DS/PSP and how they compare in raw sales numbers and effect on hardware sales?

(General notice: I'm not interested in lists of big name games that will somehow prove my speculations wrong, whether that list includes Wii Sports Resort and Punch-Out!!, Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2, or Sony first party titles. I'm interested in actual comparisons of Nintendo/Sony first party efforts, because I think the conclusion must be that Nintendo titles are the more successful in sales terms)
