Name: Battle Angel Alita: The Motorball Chronicles.

Genre: Racing/Fighting.

Platform: Wii

Developer: Retro Studios.

Players: Up to 20 players online.

Story: Following closely the story of Battle Angel Alita manga, you are a promising young Motorballer, one of the most violent and exiting sport of the future. With your cyborg body you participate in speed races to capture the notorious Motorball, all while melee fights erupt between the runners at speeds up to 200 mph. Your goal is to get to the finish line with the motorball( A mechanical ball, bouncing at the track.) in hand, or to obliterate
all opponents before you.

Controls: Using the Wiiboard and the Wiimote/Nunchuck combo, you race on your turbo rollerblades in-game, tying to keep your balance on the Wiiboard, while using the Wiimote/Chuch to attack with your melee weapons that are attached to your hands. You shift your weight on the board to make turns and dodge attacks, while you move on the track with the the analog stick. With the Remote/chuck combo you can attack depending on you melee weapon, by doing a wave with the hand you want to attack with. The attacks can be done with 8-axis free movement and you can use z-targeting to lock-on on your opponent. While locked, pressing the d-pad lets you select which body part you wish to attack (Head, L.Arm, R. Arm, Legs). You van dodge enemy attacks, by shiffing you weight on the board, or block them with your hands by raising or lowering the Wiimote/Nunchuck. The fights can go airborn too, by pressing the A button to jump. While jumping, you can activate focus mode that slows down aerial movement, for blocking attacks or brandishing your own slashes.

Stages/Gameplay: 18 racing tracks of various length and difficulity. They are devided to 6, depending on the league you participate. There are three leagues, you start at the lowest 3rd one, and you work your way up by wining races and improving your ranking. Each league has 100 players, but you can work your way up by eliminating players rankink above you. Going for the kills may improve your average, but it won't bring money as much as winning the race, because you need need it to buy replacement parts for your cyborg body that gets strained, between and during matches, or buy more efficient weapons. During the races, you can make pit stops, allowing you to change body parts or weapons that got damaged. Each part of your body can take a specific amount of damage before it's destroyed. Total hand damage reprieves you of your weapons, Leg damage is make you unable to continue to race while total head damage results to your death. Between the races there are event matches that reflect actual events on the Alita manga univerce, allowing you to create aliances or hostility towards you by key characters. Friends will help you during a race, while enemies will target you first for elimination. You can affect the outcome of the game with befriending, opposing or even killing key racers adding an RPG element to the game.

Weapons: All weapons must be attached to the hands and must be of melee combat. Projectile weapons are not allowed. The list includes Elbow Blades, Metallic Claws, Flails, Morningstars, Chainsaws, Hammers, Spiked Armor Hands and others.

That's the basic layout of the game. I would love it if it was made because i'm a huge Alita fan. If the James Cameron movie does come out, this might see the light of day.
