Extraterrestials would be more likely.
We know the chances of life (molecules capable of replicating themselves) is not zero, and since the unvierse is nearly infinate the chances of there being other life out there is pretty good.
Chances of life after death are almost non-existent. In life after death, your mind or concious somehow goes somewhere else or enters another body (depending on belief), but in modern times we now know that all our mind is is a series of chemical reactions in a physical brain. When the brain stops working and decomposses all memories and personalities stored as chemical reactions no longer exist.
