1) In the UK you can drink from the age of 5 at home with the consent of your parents. You can be bought certain drinks at the age of 15 in a restaurant as long as it's accompanied with a meal. You can buy what you want at the age of 18 (legal adult).
2) I say that age of legal adulthood should be 17. Simply because you can already drive and go into full time employment at that age, anyway. So yeah, reduced to 17 (not that it really makes all that difference).
I mean, really, what's the difference between a 17 and 18 year old, anyway? I go to college and I cannot tell who's older between the two.
