| Slimebeast said: I believe this to be true. 400,000 X360, and 350,000 PS3. It's in line with vgc numbers, the gap is getting very small. But why? I just don't understand what has given PS3 a boost (please don't come dragging with Killzone). |
Possible reasons?
1. While there has been no price cut, there have been a lot of PS3 promotion in the past month, such as $50 gift cards at many retailers, and the Target 2-free game bundles.
2. RE5 may have convinced many PS2 owners that it was time to upgrade.
3. Tax rebate time. Many people are getting big tax rebates and buying gifts for themselves. PS3 buyers tend to be older, so they are the ones getting rebates.
4. More PS3 advertising this month, related to the game that you do not want mentioned.
