Without a Sony price cut, Microsoft knows that they 'should' still outsell the PS3 on a week to week basis. So they still aren't 'losing' anything. They are just gaining less.
So yes, maybe Microsoft has gotten a little complacent in regards to their games this year. And has a big 2010 planned for it to battle the heavy hitters for the PS3 most likely pushed to 2010. (GoW3, GT5).
