Well, then i guess that by showing that you also had the need to defend yourself as well, you just showed the same sense of insecurity as i did, by your logic.
I don't care whom you meant to target with your post. The fact is you meant something insultive and disrespectful towards a group of people, who didn't harm you or cause you any grievance of any kind, and you did that by generalizing everyone who had posted before you (You used the words "bunch of broke ass nerds", targeting the whole group).
I don't know you and i don't care who you are or what you do, it's your life, you deal with it. The fact remains that it doesn't give you the right to insult anyone you want.
