Popularity = Internet Hate. It makes you look "hip".
I used to make fun of FFVII. It was funny. Since I've started coming here, I've stopped. What's the point of hating on something if 30 people are going to agree with you?
The series is not that bad, nor is it that good. But have you seen how pahetic people look meeting each other halfway? Compromise is for pussies.
