Some of those things are why I haven't bought it...(nor played, can't rent here) the shortness being a major downer.

I have heard it is similar in some ways to No More Heroes, which would be a good thing if it weren't so short.

I *loved* Killer7 - because of its wierdness. But there isn't so much wierd about this - its more SinCity, and just all about blood/death/style.

TBH, the length of the game is the least of its concerns. Its fairly repetitive (with some unique content/'games' in each area) - they could have dragged it out to 20hrs, but there just isn't a need.

Its more the style of the game. In some ways its a slow-Ninja Gaiden - but NG is about "survival", and getting through the levels. This gives you a small level, heaps of easy enemies - and its all about killing in creative ways, to maximise bonus/points within a limited time.

...

NMH is an interesting one. I love it and hate it at the same time: its exceptionally cool, yet not that *fun* to play. Its almost the opposite of this - where I'm not particularly enjoying the story or the coolness, rather its the "fun" of the game that keeps you going (i.e. in NHM you get through the boring bits for the cool story/bosses, in MW you get through the story/bosses to get back to creative killing).

A fusion of the two could be cool: take NMH, and give it some of the core gameplay elements of MadWorld (open world brawler). Sure be more interesting than riding around an almost-empty city getting lost...
