Heavenly Sword didn't fail. It might not have reached the sales it deserved because it was blasted by a bunch of fan boy reviewers that were still in diapers back when Dave Halverson was publishing the greatest American Videogame magazine of all time Diehard Gamefan and that had no idea what they were talking about. However, to this day, Dave Halverson himself still says that Heavenly Sword is right up there as one of, and he usually says it is, the best games released in this gen:
