The first halo was amazing because it dawned a new era...in which companies saw that fps could be extremely succesful on consoles and not just pcs. It also introduced a whole couple generations of gamers to quality fps and not just really bad ones...since contrary to what you wanna believe...most gamers have never gamed on a pc nowadays...pcs are a terrible medium for gaming because when u view the whole picture, most ppl dont have money to pay a couple 1000$ to buy a quality pc that plays ALL their games without, any "technical difficulties", and most ppl simply dont have the computer knowledge to know what makes a gaming pc....sorry, pc is the minority, not the majority...and quit sounding so stupid comparing pc to consoles, it's an unfair comparison...pcs are fully upgradable, while consoles are basically set in stone, of course if u pour enough money into it it's gonna be better!! A 2000 honda accord after 20-30 grand put into it can hold it's own against a ferrari.
Finally, consoles are the solution to the pc problem, YES, THE PROBLEM. Consoles were made so that the gaming industry could reach a wider market and grow. The video game industry is booming big time, we are getting huge and there is still much upside, but we got here because consoles provided a medium many more people found accesible, as opposed to the pc. Now we have so many competing companies from devs to the console companies themselves that game quality, innovation, and technological progression has increased trememondously in a very short period of time. There's alot of money and room for improvement in this industry so more and more great, creative minds are finding their way to video games and creating high quality games.
