I was playing the wii on a 32 inch TV and was about 6-8 feet away. The other two people playing it had little to no problems controlling it. I played wario ware, zelda, monkey ball and elebits. I could not control the game perfectly in any of these games, this was before i even hated the wii and i really wanted to like the system because i was thinking about buying one.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the wii-mote. If i had these problem i'm sure other people had these problems.

How many games can you control perfectly? I can't control Halo perfectly and most people that prefer mouse and keyboard can't either, does that mean all FPS games control schemes are shoddy and inaccurate? As for just not being able to play those games, I'm sorry to tell you this, but you just might be inept. My mom and grandma can control the Wii fine, I have incredibly shaky hands and I can control it fine, my 6 year old nephew can control it fine. For some reason I'm getting the picture in my head that you tried Warioware, failed at one of the mini games because you couldn't figure out what you were supposed to do in the 5 seconds, and immediately decided the Wii sucked. And what I was talking about where you're sitting, you can sit off center to the TV, that's fine, you just can't be too far off center. You're right, it would be silly for a party machine not to be able to accommodate people sitting to the side and Wii does accommodate that. Pretend there's a 45 degree cone coming from your sensor bar, that's what you need to be in. That's a pretty decent area and I'm guessing if it was due to you being in the wrong spot, you were outside of that cone.
