Nope, mostly because such forms of measure are all based on subjective means which are corruptable to bias... This is very noticable on how progressive taxation works.
People set a progressive tax.... then when they want to spend more money... they raise the rates making things more progressive... because suddenly the tax rates that were fine wern't progressive enough... because we want to spend more money.
Now if someone came up with a scientific study actually showing what a good progressive rate was... and showed actual important variables in it... and then kept it at that rate and raised it across the board after whenever trying to pay for more stuff....
Then people who beleive in a progressive tax would have an argueable point.
As it stands now though... it's just an easy way to discriminate against one group of people. The taxes get more progressive because people just want to spend more money. There is nothing "right" about it. It's just a way for polticians to get their revenues without getting voted out of office.
