Also by the way... if your wondering why some poor people can't get medicad it's because it doesn't cover all people under the definition of poor... which is people who made under a certain amount of money that year.

It doesn't cover people who have assets or other things that make them more "rich" then they look.

For example if you have a Plamsa TV, a nice car, and a sweet surround sound sytem yet are still considered poor money wise. You aren't going to get medicaid.

Why? Because you have a sweet TV a Nice car and a sweet surround sound system. You have a lot of assets you could sell for good value.

If you own a house worth more then $500,000. You don't qualify because you own a house worth a lot of money.

Stuff like that.

Not all poor are covered under Medicaid because they have a lot of assets.   Medicaid is there to help the suffering poor.  Not those who have a lot of stuff but just don't make a lot of money.

Like say college students.

Or old people... who may want to move into a nursing home and give away all their money to their kids who will look after them as if they had that money but it's just not in their name.

Still it is pretty unevenly run.
