Actually, the music industry wanted this all along. They've always wanted a different price for hits than clunkers. This is just Apple conforming to the pressure of the music industry.
I'm just going to buy my music on GH/RB, and go to the concerts, cuz all I listen to is Punk, Metal, Alternative, & Grunge... The artists get way more of my money that way, and less of the record company...
Seriously, though, the best choice is AmazonMp3. No DRM, no E-mail encoding (which iTunes does now instead of DRM, the bastards), and best of All, It's actually .mp3 format, instead of freakin .aac.
