Socialism and capitalism aren't two mutually exclusive black and white things, its more of a sliding scale.
I'm all for capitalism as humans naturally do what advantages them, if hard work doesn't advantage them then they won't do hard work. However I'm also for socialism in the form of things such as minimum wage, universal healthcare, education and the dole.
Essentially I see it as capitalism to keep people striving for the top and socialism to keep people sliding off the bottom.
Edit: Pure capitalism without the tinge of socialism is an evil evil idealogy, it essentially encourages people to stomp others down on their way up. Sweatshops and explotation are what happens in a purely capitalist world. Pure socialism is much better idealogically but just as bad if not worse in reality, humans don't work if it doesn't advantage them and the Soviet economy is an example of this - it just ended up imploding.
