I think Uematsu did his best in FFVIII and IX and then went downhill (with a few exceptions like to Zanarkand). Liberi Fatali and Fake love are unforgettable, the stuff I heard from LO and Blue Dragon is boring and uninspired. It does nothing for me, brings no emotions.

I am not a fan of Hamauzu, but Shimomura has long surpassed Uematsu in my opinion.

I was waiting for this and to be honest it's very sad. These sort of comments give this site a bad name. I am sorry if this really is your genuine opinion, but to many people hate on LO because it's on 360 and not a Square Enix game.

If you look around the internet on Forums, especially the hundreds of comments on Youtube, many Uematsu fans think LO is some of his best work ever. And to be honest it is. How you can say it's not emotional is beyond me. It's probably the most emotional stuff he has done. Heres some comments from Nobuo's long standing listeners.

"yeah, definitely the best battle theme ever created. it's so ominous and just epic."

"This song is the most epic battle song in any JRPG, simply the best."

"The crescendo in this song is just incredible. Gets me every time."

"I've never played this game, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the depth of it's music. Maybe I'll pull another "Baten Kaitos" and buy it just because the soundtrack is so amazing."

"You aren't the only one....The music is deeply moving and most the "Dreams" leave me emotional....It's why I love this game and what sets it apart from the others i've played"

And theres literallly hundreds of amazing comments per song on the soundtrack. It's the most emotional music I think he's written. It has to be, because it's without a doubt the most emotional Jrpg ever made.
