The term "bench" denotes a judge. She is not being nominated to the judiciary. She is being nominated for the position of Assistant Attorney General.
Anyway, I expect her to be confirmed. Since the Senate does not return from its recess until the 20th, a vote will most likely transpire during the last week of April.
