Yeesh g-value. Do you listen to any hip-hop that isn't heavily circulated on the radio? Or anything before the last five years?
|
Alot of the songs i posted are not played in the radio. Also i listen to plenty of old school rap songs. 2pac is my favorite rapper. Is there a problem with me liking today's hip-hop?

The artists are played on the radio.
What old school hip-hop do you listen to? 2Pac isn't old school btw.
There's no problem with you listening to today's hip-hop. I listen to it also. It's just the people you're recommending are usually the emcees people refer to when they ask "What happened to the rap genre?". If I posted up Nelly videos, it would serve the same ending.

2pac has been rapping since 1990 so how is he not old school? Other old school rappers i listen to would be Rakim, Big L, Nas, Red Man, Snoop Dogg, NWA, Bone Thugs and many more.

Out of your list:
Old School-Rakim, NWA
Not old school-2Pac, Big L, Nas, Redman, Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs
There are two schools of thought. One that thinks old school's cut off was 1984 when Run-DMC appeared and the other thinks it's 1989, marking the end of the 1980's and moving onto a different school of hiphop.
