What high profile demo of a multiplatform game has been barred from PSN and only on Xbox Live? Are you talking about the timed exclusivity of the Resident Evil 5 demo? I'm pretty sure that was paid for by Microsoft. You have to remember that FF XIII is coming to the 360 in the West, and only the West, because of it's dominant position. Why would Square go through that trouble only to show preferential treatment to PS3 owners there? There's also the factor that not everybody buying this movie will own a PS3. What about a 360 owner that has a standalone BluRay player? Maybe a demo will be released. It would make sense. What is likely to happen is that once the game goes gold in Japan and the 360 development starts, maybe Square will release a simultaneous demo across both platforms to build hype. Recall that while a demo for Japan this early is building hype for a Christmas release, a demo this early in America/Europe is building towards an eventual Summer/Fall 2010 release. Does Square really want to bust their load on showing this game off so early when most companies use demos as a close to release marketing tool?

just one game as example eternal sonata to counter that.
it have a XBL Demo before release a year before, and the ps3 got it demo when the port was going to happen.
which it's the same that it's happening here just to different regions. but in contrast in have release dates really far from each other.
and if you say was because eternal sonata port was announce later for the ps3 it's the same for FF13 this time.
if PS3 demo Advent children american version it's done why not to release it?
