There's a need to make your favorite character high on the list. Being bad ass makes the character "cool". And if your favorite character is cool, it somehow "transfers" to you (you're cool because you like cool characters).
It has nothing to do if the character is *really* bad ass. What's bad ass, anyway?
These lists just show our individual biases. Nothing more. So the guy's number 1 is Master Chief. So he likes Halo. That's just about it. Someone who likes God of War will put Kratos in number 1. No prob. Zelda fan? Link on number 1. Again no problem.
It's just a list. A list of someone else's opinion. We can make 'em ourselves. Let's friggin' stop labeling other opinions as failures simply because they don't match ours.
