Rap died a loooong time ago, during Tupac and Biggie's time.
It killed Hip Hop, and now it is becoming a genre that I hope will either change for the better or die.
The major problem is that instead of songs that have important/relevant messages, they are about "Look at me, I'm cool cuz I did such and such and yada yada yada, I love hoes, I got money, I got hoes, I got cars and money with hoes on top....."
It is just shit.
Let me show you one Hip Hop/Rap song that is an example of what is needed. It isn't Eminem (good rapper, just overplayed):
