"In the U.S., there is a 19-million unit installed base for the Wii verses 22-million units combined for the 360 and PS3. Assuming some overlap in the 360/PS3 installed bases, they're roughly equivalent."
This is the part of his analysis I agree with the most, it's the reason why 1st Party software on the XB360/PS3 I feel is so important, cause I foresee ALOT of the games for those two platforms being shared.
The rest of his analysis however, I find fall into that old line, "If you build it, they will come..." Hardcore gamers WANT TO PLAY GREAT GAMES. RE5, or Major third party games, as I suspected he based this on, can sell on Wii, as COD:WaW has showed...and unless I'm missing something, and extra milli of sales never hurt NOBODY.
...Of course this does bring up the question of, should you Lead with the Wii, and upscale it to the HD consoles.
