I'm sorry my post may have been misinterpreted. I guess I was being stereotypical to a certain point and I appologize.. As I said, I know there are true atheist who do not believe in a god. I guess I heard atheist and immediatly thought about irrational people attempting to ban all things christian. These people are not true atheist. People are not offended in things they don't believe in. They may be annoyed. But if I put a dragon in my signature, no one would be offended. No one believes in dragons. The same goes if I make something up right now. No one would be offended. So I'm sorry that when I hear the word atheist, I first think or extremists who just want someone to blame.

Want to make it alright for you to bash atheists? Here's a tip:

Only bash 'strong atheists'. Strong atheists are people who are almost sure there's no god and usually believe heavily in science. They're the ones who hate on religion and think people who believe are stupid.

Make fun of 'strong atheists' but not atheists in general.

About the bolded, you are dead wrong. If you were raised in a christian household part of your life by people who claimed to be christian but acted like assholes, and went to church, and got to see a bunch of deluded crazy people worshipping fairy tales in unfounded full certainty, I think it would make you offended too. I used to be like this(though I'm a 'weak atheist'/agnostic now).

I was raised around contradictory and crazy christians. I went to church with my grandparents. Even at a young age I thought christianity was false, there was no evidence for the christian god(not the idea of god specifically, just the christian and other gods that seem to be man made) and the message of the bible made no sense, and I have still yet to hear someone to this day explain how the message of the bible makes sense.
