EA may release crappy games over and over for lots of money but at least they haven't done anything illegal and highly immoral like Sony and Microsoft.

Such as?

Sony's list off the top of my head,

Adopting rumble without doing proper patent research and effectively stealing immersion's idea.

Removing the space between "Play" and "Station" to make "PlayStation" and effectively stealing nintendo's "Play Station" trademark.

Root Kit

Lik-Sang

Not doing proper quality or safety assurance on millions of potentially explosive devices and then shipping them worldwide into consumer's hands.

(all may not be illegal but rest on the opposite side of ethical quite easily.)

"Not doing proper quality or safety assurance on millions of potentially explosive devices..."
I'm assuming you're talking about the laptop battery situation. You’re assuming Sony didn’t perform the proper quality control measures on purpose and willfully sold the batteries anyway.

Lik-Sang - That company was sued by Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo for copyright infringement.

Root Kit - That was Sony BMG. So it's not really in the context of reasons for hating the video game division.

The "Play Station" was a joint venture between Nintendo and Sony that Nintendo backed out of. I couldn't find any information on Nintendo wholly owning the "Play Station" trademark, nor could I find any information on Nintendo sueing Sony over this.

Immersion Lawsuit - Patent infringement lawsuits occur all the time. It's almost impossible to avoid being sued by some small technology company that holds and long list of unused and obscure patents. It's also difficult to determine if you've crossed the line onto someone patent with your own version of the technology.
