I guess the message I'm trying to get across is that I think people who say "There would be no videogames today if not for Nintendo saving videogames" are wrong.

I guess you are right.  But talk about mass market.  The last videogames my parents played before the Wii were Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt on the NES.  The system my family bought also came with the powerpad.  Those three games (and maybe Tetris) had the most mass market appeal b/t the creation of PacMan and Wii Sports.  And, yes, Nintendo is doing wonders for the videogame industry again.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)
