Time for an update. This thread is going to be a sega, perhaps even a swan song for me.

So we stay late in the evening at works under the assumption that we will be going to the club. So I call up the club and I'm informed that she's not working tonight. So I work up the nerve to call her. I say nerve because I didn't want to have to deal with having to explain who I am.

So it rings and rings, then a gruffy voice answers, I confirm it's her. I say my name.... confusion... I say my name (which is very uncommon in my city, so I'm the only one she should know) and my profession at which point she recognizes and her attitude changes and she becomes the girl I know.

So I explain how I was hoping she was working tonight. She explais her schedule to me for the week to which I say we'll probably see each tother than.

She asks how my week is going and if we're working hard on the case. To which I answer that the week started off bad and slow. She mentionned that she had heard about the case on the news this week and that it made her think of me. I explain the details of what she had seen. (well, that which is public knowledge). She mentions how what we do is impressive and important. I'm not going to argue with her on that.

I ask if she had received my invation text, which she had not. Well, she received a notice that my phone number had messaged her, but thecontents were lost. I explain the contents. She asks the event date. Since it's Easter Sunday, and it's a big thing in her family, she won't be able to go. She says she appreciates that I was keeping my ears open to things that will benefit her. I confirmed that she would therefore go to the next such event. Her answer wax in the affirmative.

She mentions how she spent the weekend practicing her music. I asked if she was in an appartment and if her neighbors minded. I said if they give you trouble about it, let me know and I'll see what I can do (legal work, not ass kicking) to which she said Ahh you're so kind.

So basically, I've crossed the hurdle of the first personal contact, the first name recognition and the first time she realizes to what extent I'm looking out for her. All in all a nice contact that I'm satisfied with. I would have loved instant name recognition, but that will come with time.

Now that youve crossed the first hurdle you have the rest of the race ahead of you to focus on. Congratz

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.
