Yes, I know the Monarch and Lords are unelected... I said so in the very post you quoted!
Oh, and should the people really be allowed to vote on things that they have no idea about? The Americans/Brits would have rejected a bank bailout because they haven't the faintest clue of economics - they like to think they do, but they don't (and the Conservatives have leaped onto that).
