The other problem with them is the 'double death'.  They will fall down and just lay there a while before getting up again, this time swinging like mad.

 

Even using a rocket launcher on them won't flat out kill them, it only makes them fall down still able to get back up.

Although you can predict which ones will do that.

There are 3 that do that, those with the blue pants. The first one you encounter and then 1 in each group of two.
