Microsoft will have the best linup this year.

1. Halo ODST -Biggest selling game on a HD platform in 2009. Only COD MW2 is in the same league as this standalone Halo 3 expansion. The selling point will be the new multiplayer experience in the Halo Universe of course. Multiplayer: All the traditional features of Halo 3 multiplayer will be included in the new game, including full-featured integration with the Forge map editor.

2.Forza 3 - OK, Microsft didn't release any racing games in 2008. Usually they have one racing game in their yearly lineup. ALSO, PGR4 was announced in E3 2007 and was released in the fall of 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Gotham_Racing_4
So, we know it is coming....Forza 3 that is. PGR5 or a New Rallisport will be
sweet too.

3. All Points Bulletin (APB) - http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=61039
This game will be the Crackdown/GTA on a MMO scale. This game will be huge IMO and will served as a counter of sort to MAG on the PS3. Common, we have the maker on Crackdown making an opened World Sandbox game. This game is what GTA should have been.

4. Killer Instinct 3 - OK, Rare is making this and it is coming out this year. Worst kept secret ever. It was also rumored that Microsoft has a new game based on a popular online fighter. You put 2 plus 2 together, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out this game is coming out this year. Also, with the recent success of SF4 and to a lesser extend MK vs DC Universe, and Tekken 6 upcoming, no doubt Fighting games are making a strong comeback.

5. Perfect Dark 2 - The second game of the Rare dynamic duo in 2009. After the kiddie stuff like VIva Pinata, and a system launching game in PD0, this one will show the true graphics, gameplay powess of the RARE we love and know from the Nintendo days. Along with Halo ODST, this game will be marketed like a Gears of War from Microsoft, no doubt. I see a November release for his game, a few weeks apart from COD MW2 of course.

6. Alan Wake - This game was announced back in the KZ2 E3 trailer days like over 3.5 years ago. I think it should be ready by go this fall, ES is the perfect opportunity to showcase this graphics masterpiece.

7. SPlinter Cell Conviction - Was announced all the way back like 3 years ago. Went through some changes and was suppose to be release last year but was delayed , according to Ubsoft to booster their 2009 lineup. Expect this game to be out this fall as one of the blockbuster (Splinter Cell is a true AAA franchise)

8. Lost Planet 2 - Already announced a month ago and showed more gameplay footage than GOW3, MAG, Heavy Rain combined already. Since all three games are suppose to be released this year on the PS3, I don't see why wouldn't lost Planet 2 make it out on X360 this year as well. This may be timed exclusive but it will be only on xbox 360 for at least 6-12 months.

*9. Bungie Secret New IP - ODST was a side project done a small team. It will be 2 years since the release of Halo 3 and Bungie already announced they were working on a couple of new peojects right after Halo 3 was completed. I got to admit it might not make it in 2009 but can't wait what Bungie has in store for us. I think they will announced something to begin the Microsft hype Machine going again.

With this solid lineup, how can you say Microsft has no good game left? This lineup wil easily equal or pawned that of the PS3 in 2009.

I think this could be true, as in 2010 -2011, Halo 4, Gears of War 3, Fable 3, PGR5, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Crackdown 2, The 2 lionhead games, Two more from Rare, Bungie new IPS(see above), Mistwalker New RPGs will all make the xbox 360 stay ahead of the PS3 until the release of the Next Box in 2012.

When Two Rare games and Lost Planet make your list of domination. You know you're in trouble.

Come on, seriously? Ok I'm the first to admit that Rare havent made a TRULY AAA titles since the N64. But what they have done for M$ has by no means been crap ( except for the atrocity that was PD0 ). Viva Pinata, Kameo, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Viva Piniata 2 and Banjo Kazooie N&B are all games that are good games. Just outside AAA titles. They even got pretty good reviews.

But the 2 games you have a punch at ( KI3 and PD 2 ) are 2 games that ALOT of gamers will be seriouly watching for. KI is arguably one of the best fighting series of it's day. And PD on the N64 was absolutely amazing. I think Rare know that PD 2 especially has to be back to grown up, well written script and pushing the bounderies and graphics just like the original. I have no doubt they will get KI3 and PD 2 very right. I think it will be a return to AAA games for Rare to be honest.

Perfect Dark Zero absolutely sucked beyond belief.  Why would you as a gamer waste your time on a sequel?   Yeah PD on the N64 was amazing.....Almost a decade ago.  Times have changed and Killer Instinct (After the SNES) was never that good of a game IMHO.   I wouldn't be holding my breath for Perfect Dark or Killer Instinct to become AAA status.

Could they possibly do it?  Sure.    But it has a stench of desperation IMHO.  Which was exactly my point.

You are right as I said PD0 sucked major balls. But that is the ONLY game that Rare have made for M$ which has sucked. The thing with PD0 was it was nothing like Perfect Dark if you understand what I mean. PD 2 would be a game to follow on from one of the greatest if not THE greatest console FPS game ( certainly was on the N64 ). I know I for one need/want to find out what happens after PD1. I think Rare knows they have to get this one right. As for KI/KIG I loved them both and many others did to. Considering since Rare left Nintendo that PD0 is the only game they have made that sucked. I believe they will find their feet with these 2 games back to AAA status.

Not sucking and being AAA are two totally different things. Ex:  Heavenly Sword didn't suck but it certainly wasn't AAA.

Nothing in Perfect Dark 0 for the 360 would excite me for a sequel.  Nothing.  It's not the N64 era anymore.   Killer Instinct was above average in the SNES era, average in the N64 era.   How will/would it compete against SFIV? SCIV?  Tekken 6?  Probably not well at all.

So while Rare hasn't made tons of horrible games? They haven't made any great games since the N64 era.
