I'm pretty liberal myself, but I don't feel like I'm in the wrong, or anything. The thing is, I study Government & Politics at college, and so I know that there really are a wide range of views out there, and we often debate in class (which is far harder than on a forum, as you can't bail and you don't have a long time to think about things)., and so I know that when you get into the realms of areas where very few have an understanding, there is rarely a consensus.

What's more, the real world is far more mature than this forum. If people in my politics class functioned like we do here, well, it just wouldn't function. After all, my politics teacher used to be a member of the socialist workers party, and now Labour, and yet he's able to teach and get along with the ultra conservatives and the ultra Liberals in our class, and those people respect him as a teacher.

I often find myself biting my tongue around my grandparents, though. My parents are fine, as they share some of the same beliefs as me (only on a social scale, sometimes things get a little heated when it comes to discussing economic policies).

I come from a different background to most, though, where most of my friends and family are widely interested in politics.
